About Marvelous Bookish Tomes

My name is Heather McQueary (Marvelous Bookish Tomes) and I live in the beautiful state of Oregon in the U.S. I have been married to my soul mate since 2008 and my soon to be 11 year old son is my life. I would do anything for family and friends. πŸ₯°

Reading, nature, and spending time with family are my main hobbies.πŸ“š

Vacation time with family πŸ’•

In 2016 I became very ill overnight it seemed and went from running marathons to couch bound. Felt like I had the eternal flu and my head was going to fall off my body (literally). πŸ€•

After numerous tests over the next 2 years found out I have CNS (Central Nervous System) Lupus, POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), Fibromyalgia, Peripheral Neuropathy, Vertiginous Migraines, Arthritis, DDD (Degenerative Disc Disease), Idiopathic Hypersomnia, CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). 😷

Relaxation time with my beautiful Mama ❀️

You can imagine with me now being 29 years old and legally disabled it wasn’t how I thought my life would turn out. I went from having the world in my hands to being at it’s mercy within a flash.⚑ My husband also had a rough few years. He was diagnosed with stage 3 Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and he has scoliosis and stenosis in his spine. My son has health issues he’s been recently diagnosed with, but that sends my brain over the edge. 😡 He’s my baby boy and everyone being sick is too hard to handle sometimes. It’s been a rollercoaster for sure. πŸ₯΄

Lupus has taken over my face and body but not my spirit! πŸ’ͺ🐺

So you can see why I need reading and the little things in life to get away from real world issues! 🀣🀯😬 I feel so blessed to have my family, friends and to have my sanctuary at home. Without them I honestly don’t know what I would do. πŸ’•
